THE WORKSHOP AT TWO BIRDS SPIRITS

We love gin. We’ve loved gin since before we founded Two Birds Spirits way back in 2013 and it’s safe to say we know a fair bit about gin and distilling.

From our early days tinkering away in the home workshop, we’ve always been fascinated by the background of this intriguing white spirit, how the distilling process works and essentially, what makes a ‘good’ gin. We’ve gathered a fair bit of knowledge over the years and it’s now time to share our knowledge with like-minded gin people…

Here’s What To Expect From Your Gin Masterclass Journey

  1. Meet Our Ginstructor… You will be welcomed to the workshop by our Ginstructor extroadinaire, Simon who will serve a perfectly poured Gin & Tonic.
  2. Learn about Two Birds Spirits… While Enjoying your first Gin & Tonic of the day you will hear about the history of Two Birds Spirits and how we came to be.
  3. Learn the History of Gin & Distilling… We will then guide you through the long and rather interesting history of  Gin from origins as genever to the modern day London Dry.
  4. Improve your Gin knowledge… We’ll explain what defines a style of Gin, the core botanicals required and an overview of some more unusual botanicals that can be used. Tasting is paramount here and so you’ll have the chance to go through our range of gins plus one more unique gin. Oh and we’ll probably pop another Gin & Tonic in your hand to help you get in the mood.
  5. Time to Distill… Now it’s your turn to get your hands dirty. You’ll get the chance to develop and distill your very own Gin with its own distinct profile. But don’t worry our Ginstructor will be on hand to help guide and suggest botanicals and weights.
  6. Time to name and bottle… After cutting your Gin to your preferred strength, we’ll name, bottle and label your Gin. You’ll have the chance to sample other guests Gins and then head to the bar to make their own perfect serve G&T.
